As a widow you need to find someone “safe” to talk to.  You are vulnerable and need to take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  No one will care for your well-being as much as you, so please look after yourself.
  1. Try to keep comfortably busy, and stick to some kind of routine.

  1. Seek out those who will help you come to grips with your new reality.

  1. Allow yourself to grieve and cry without guilt.

  1. Say “no” and stay away from any big commitments. You have enough stress right now.

  1. Survive - Really, I mean it! You matter and you are important so don’t give up.

  1. Look after your body, it’s the only one you have. Embrace a healthy diet and although I know sleep is nearly impossible, but you must give it your best effort.  Get a free copy of my Guide – Stress Is Stealing My Sleep.  https://sisterhoodofwidows.com/a-guide-to-manage-stress-and-sleep/

A Guide to Manage Stress and Sleep A guide for widows.
