- Curl up with a good book or movie.
- Drop off old blankets and towels to your local animal shelter.
- Spend some extra snuggle time your pets or pets of family/friends.
- Make a list of random acts of kindness you can do for others.
- Send a secret Santa package to someone who needs a little lift.
- Light a scented candle and draw yourself a relaxing bubble bath.
- Buy a coffee for someone in the drive-through behind you.
- Write an inspirational quote or note on a Post-It and leave it on mirror or bulletin board.
- Donate to local food bank – can goods and pantry staples like peanut butter and tuna.
- Give two people a compliment today. It will release some feel good hormones in you.
- Text, call or email an old friend to let them know how much their friendship means to you.
- Share what you know with others. Teach someone how to crochet, tutor, teach music, etc.
- Everyone has been helped by someone at one time in their life. Take the time to write them a not or Christmas card to express your gratitude.
- Bake or buy cookies for a secret neighbor plate. In a note ask them to refill the plate with cookies and pass it on.
- Offer to run an errand for an elderly neighbor or someone in need. Or just give them a gift of your time by going to visit them. Consider buying them a meal or just sitting with them.
- Paint a river rock with colourful craft paint and write an inspiring message – “Be Brave”, “Your Special”, “Smile” and leave in a public space for someone to find.
