What were the circumstances that contributed to the person you are today? What do you believe about yourself based on what others have told you? How were you treated? Both the moments when you felt valued and the moments when you felt unloved defined your history and path in life.

You are still here, having survived your journey and what an amazing journey your life has been. Remember, your journey is yours alone, so own it.
Even if you lived through an unloved childhood, or a painful loss of a loved one, there is still only one irrefutable truth: we are all responsible for our own decisions – no other person is or ever can be. It’s important to know your past history and why you feel the way you do so you can work at healing the wounds of your past. Until you do, you are literally dragging the weight of your past into your present life. And that my friend makes it nearly impossible to move forward in a positive way.
