I've been thinking about the lives of widows I have encountered in my life. I have met so many widows these past few years and I really wanted to know what allowed some widows to achieve a full life when others get struck in their grief.
What really makes the biggest difference for a widow? I think that it's the mental attitude of the widow that is the biggest factor towards her grief journey becoming a healing journey. It's how she evaluates her life, decisions she makes and the actions she takes that will form her destiny.
As widows we need to be aware of the grief trap we can fall into. It's only natural to grieve and we should take time for this. However, time moves on and we must aim for an attitude of a survivor and not a victim if we want to have a full and meaningful life.
