I believe that you can write out goals and try to do a vision statement, but it wouldn’t move you to heal as fast as reaching out and helping others in need.  Widows Helping Widows is a powerful healing tool. There is something about thinking of others that takes the spot light off of our grief and shines it on our path from grieving to healing.  This month do something for friends, family or even a stranger.  Reach out and feel how it helps your inner self when you think of others. As an advocate for widows I’m continuously working to help widows travel their personal path from grieving to healing.  The majority of new widows are struggling along in what we call “widow fog” and they need help, support and lots of encouragement. It took me a while to realize that I was not alone, that there were others with the “widow” label.  I realized that they could help me get clarity so I could rebuild my life.  My advice to help you on your healing journey is to seek out other widows and share your stories.  Widows helping widows. There are lots of great online resources, but not all are free or without ads/marketing.  As a widow I have spent the last sixteen years building up resources for widows that are free and available online. https://sisterhoodofwidows.com/ https://sisterhoodofwidows.com/marys-blog/ https://sisterhoodofwidows.com/facebook-groups-for-widows/ https://sisterhoodofwidows.com/guide-downloads/ https://sisterhoodofwidows.com/grief-resources/ https://sisterhoodofwidows.com/grief-support/ https://www.youtube.com/user/sisterhoodofwidows All of these “links” are under my website’s added security protection of “https”.  They are totally safe, no cookies, and no saving of any emails or contact information for marketing or reselling.
